***************************************************************** CALL FOR PAPERS Bioinformatics @ BIONETICS 2007 2nd International Conference on Bio inspired Models of Network, Information and Computing Systems http://www.bionetics.org/ Budapest, Hungary, December 10-13, 2007 Technically co-sponsored by IEEE COMSOC, IEEE CIS, and IEEE SMC In co-operation with ACM SIGCAS Jointly sponsored by CREATE-NET, ICST *** Submission deadline (extended): August 15, 2007 *** ***************************************************************** This is the first year of a track in Bioinformatics as part of the Bionetics conference. The aim is a closer relationship between researchers using biology as inspiration for computation and those using computation to study biology. In some cases, these methods have come full circle, as when biologically inspired computational intelligence methods are in turn used to analyze biological data. The Bioinformatics track aims at attracting research contributions in all areas of computational molecular biology. Typical, but not exclusively, the topics of interest are: - Molecular sequence analysis - Molecular evolution - Recognition of genes and regulatory elements - Gene expression analysis - RNA and Protein structure - Structural genomics - Gene networks - Drug design - Computational proteomics - Structural and functional genomics All submitted papers will be rigorously peer reviewed by at least two international referees. Authors are invited to submit full papers of up to 10 pages, or short papers of up to 4 pages, in ACM conference proceedings format through COCUS (http://cocus.create-net.it). The proceedings will be an ICST publication and the papers will be listed on the ACM DL and indexed by EI -------------------------------------------------- Important dates: Submission deadline: August 15, 2007 Acceptance notification: September 18, 2007 Camera ready paper: November 1, 2007 -------------------------------------------------- Committees: General Chairs: Falko Dressler, Univ. of Erlangen Steering Committee Chair: Imrich Chlamtac, CREATE-NET Steering Committee Co-Chair: Iacopo Carreras, CREATE-NET Bioinformatics Advisory Chair: Kay C.
